Job Vacancy: SEN Teacher

Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join a thriving and supportive, OFSTED GOOD, SEN school in Hillingdon. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture a small group of young learners in year 1 and reception in an alternative provision, helping them to reach their full potential in a stimulating and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum.
• Teach a small group of students with SEN including ASD, some who are non verbal and some who are verbal.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
• Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1 and with SEN.
• A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and the ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of SEN.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
